Every visit turns into the right charge without anybody entering it twice. Payments, refunds and balances land on one statement that reads in order, so the front desk can answer "what do I owe?" without doing sums on a notepad.

Payment plans matter more than they look. A course of care is a real amount of money to ask for at once, and a plan is often the difference between a patient starting and a patient thinking about it. Instalments come out to exactly the balance, they charge themselves, and nobody has to have an awkward conversation each month.

None of this assumes an insurer is involved. A cash practice gets the same picture as one billing payers.
